Fed up with lack of environmental concern? DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Welcome. I am writing this blog because I am a teen and I care. For the last two months I have sat on the sidelines and have witnessed the WORST environmental disaster in the history of the world. For two months I have watched adult figures that us as teenagers should look to in time of dispair do nothing. We should admire these people and we should hold them as role models. We should, but it seems to me nothing is as it should be. In the past two months I have watched adults yell at each other based on this crisis. They have pointed fingers at each other and tried to place blame on one another. They have all tried to dodge the ball being thrown at them. All they appear to care about is their own personal reputation.
I am in shock. This issue goes so above and beyond personal appearances. It goes beyond political views. It goes beyond Republicans and Democrats. It goes beyond whether or not you happen to agree with President Obama. This issue goes beyond everything. I for one, simply cannot stand by and watch the "grown ups" destroy our world. I cannot let them do that because to me they are acting like the children, and if they are behaving like children, then it is high time that us children begin to act like adults.
I am proposing for us kids to put our heads together. We need to unify and get motivated. Animals are dying by the thousands on our beaches. They are suffocating and dying while they are the completely innocent parties. Thousands of people have lost their jobs, and are currently risking their health and livelihood due to this problem. The list goes much further and much more indepth than that, but those are some of the main problems. What I propose is this: us the kids should tell everyone (yes I mean everyone!) you know about this problem. Submit your ideas to me as to what our government should do in regards to this issue. Together with your ideas I will put together a petition that we will send to Washington D.C. telling the so called grown-ups what needs to be done. So tell everyone you know to get thinking.
So tell the two thousand people on your facebook page about this. Once the petition has been put together we will need millions of signatures for this to work. So get working. Let's not be known as an idle generation that doesn't care about anything. We have the most technology of any generation so let's use it to our advantage and let's get moving! I will post all ideas that I receive so that we can all collaborate together. We have to put forth our ideas because it's our world, too. We will ALL have to live with the decisions that the current grown-ups with all of their mighty power choose to make. We may be young now, but we will be living with their bad decisions for the rest of our lives.
